The effects include video layers over the top of the background video shown, and also some motion movement working effectively as animation of some still pictures (such as the artist impressions of Nottingham's new super stadium).
One of the early visual effects is old footage from when the City Ground hosted Euro 1996 appears on the video from the background goal of the current City Ground:
(This technique has been used a few times throughout the video, but it is felt it is effective.)
When discussing trams within the city and future tram developments which coincide with the opening of the city's new super stadium, slow dissolving transition effects have been used:
